They are lucky to have the greatest setting to appreciate the incredible acts who grace the stage as they are an open-air outdoor music festival hosted on the grounds of the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary in White Mills, Pennsylvania, among regal pine trees and green ferns. Since chairs are not supplied, attendees must bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on the grass in the naturally sloped amphitheater. All outdoor performances are open to picnics and personal beverages.
Except for the Wednesday evening performances on July 19 and August 2, all concerts are on Saturday nights. All concerts start at six o'clock. The amphitheater's seating section opens about 5 o'clock, or whenever the performers have finished their sound check and practice. The first person who arrives is seated. The two extra midweek concerts this season are something they hope you will appreciate. In addition to the fact that there will be nine performances rather than seven, the Wednesday activities should make it possible for people who work on Saturdays to attend a concert.
In the case of bad weather, they relocate concerts to the Wallenpaupack Area High School's air-conditioned auditorium in Hawley, Pennsylvania. The auditorium is off-limits to food and drink at the school.
Recall that, except from when in an enclosed venue, food and drinks, including wine and beer, are allowed at all concerts. They invite you to bring a picnic, buy takeout from one of the fantastic, neighborhood eateries, grocery shops, or delis, or make your own charcuterie board with artisanal cheeses, smoked meats, and locally grown fruit. These are the ideal accompaniment to a Wildflower performance when paired with some of our local beers and wines from the area. If you're feeling bold, disguise yourself as a squirrel and steal some food from an additional concertgoer. Make sure they are fully engaged in the show.
